We wanted to pass along an update from DPW regarding some upcoming work in case you missed the notification that Bauman Landscaping has distributed the door-to-door late last week.

Bauman Landscaping has scheduled the remaining manhole that needs to be completed as part of their work on Jefferson Street. The plan is to complete the work in 2-Days and mid-week days of on Tuesday 8/20 and Wednesday 8/21 were selected in order to minimize impact as much as possible.

Work will begin at 6am with the excpetion of work done in front of the Argonaut which will commence after 8am.  End time will be at 3:00 PM.  The work in front of Lou’s, Pompei’s, and Safe Harbor will be completed early in the morning as to minimize disruption to lunch time crowds.

The work will be confined to one lane for their trucks to access the manholes. The other lane will serve to accommodate two-way traffic with a flagger at each end. The crews will access the manholes and complete some mortar lining work at each of the manholes. Two manholes are in the sidewalk and three are in the street. The noise impact shouldn’t be bad considering the work will be occurring underground, the most noise will be from the generator that powers their equipment. Sidewalk access will be provided at all times but expect delays for vehicular traffic.
