The changes to the color curb zones that were presented by the MTA at the Transportation Committee meeting on December 6th did not make it on the agenda for the February 1st hearing. We will notify you when the MTA has advised us of a new date.
At the construction meeting at 10:00am on Monday we will be discussing options for the phasing of the work for the south side of Jefferson, from Jones to Leavenworth.  If you are on this block, please attend this meeting which will be held at the FWCBD Office at 2801 Leavenworth Street, Suite B-16. (Second floor of the Cannery building overlooking the corner of Jefferson and Leavenworth)

Planned traffic lane change: At the end of the work day today (Friday), the traffic lane will be flipped from the south side to the north side of Jefferson Street. This will be the single lane of traffic westbound for the next few months of the project as work is performed on the south side of the street.   The work to remove and haul away the buried rail tracks will be complete today and next week crews concentrate on electrical conduit work. Today at around 12:15 p.m. construction crews hit a gas line on Jefferson Street.  This was at the mid block of Jefferson Street between Leavenworth and Jones.  PG&E crews were called immeadiatley and have since assesed the situation, stopped the leak and are curently working to restore services.   Hello, Reminder: Construction for the Jefferson Street Improvement Project begins on Wednesday, January 2nd.   The crew will be out there next week working from 7am to 3:30pm and some notable work will include:   - Parking will no longer be permitted along Jefferson, Hyde to Jones starting on January 2nd; you will see No Parking signs up soon. - Chain link fencing will be installed at the north side and water filled barriers will be setup. - Traffic control signage will be installed. ...

UPDATE ON PAVING PROJECT: PG and E has experienced some delays in their construction and there WILL NOT BE any repaving until Friday this week from 8:00 AM until 4:00 PM.    Barring any unforeseen delays or issues, the hope is to have the paving fully completed on Friday, but if not, they will need to return next Tuesday because Monday is Veterans Day.  
PG&E anticipates being completed with their pre-construction work by the end of the week, November 9th.This week, from Wednesday the 7th to Friday the 9th, PG&E will be shifting to daytime work for repaving.  This work will happen between 8:00 am - 4:00 pm and they anticipate most work being done on Wednesday and Thursday with the cleanup work on Friday.  PG&E will work to keep higher decibal noises this will create contained to the morning as much as possible.  DPW ha...
